Melanie Marie Rivera Colón was born on December 14, 1993 in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Melanie is a Puertor Rican model and Marketing student. In the early 2000s’, Melanie started taking modeling classes in Nairda Hernández Refinamiento y Modelaje. At age of seven, Melanie walked her first runway. Melanie did some modeling work for brands like Barbie and Old Navy.

          In 2007, Melanie participates in Elite Model Look of Puerto Rico and makes her first modeling campaign for the Puertorrican shoe store, Wild Pair. With only thirteen years old, Melanie appears in Puerto Rico High Fashion Week runway. She modeled for Puertorrican designers Maria Román and Sonia Santiago.

          In 2008, Melanie modeled for Spanish designer, Custo Barcelona. Morover, in December 2009, she appears in her first editorial in Infashion Magazine. In January 2010, she signs contract with Element Model and Talent Management. In fact 2010 was a big year for Melanie. She modeled for the first time in the runways of the most recognized designers in Puerto Rico; such as Harry Robles, Luis Antonio, Ecliptica, Lisa Thon, Lisa Cappalli, among others. In addition, in 2010 Melanie modeled in Republica Dominicana's Fashion Week.

         Ever since, Melanie has appeared in runways, campaigns, magazine covers, editorials and tv commercials. In 2011, she had the experience to work with international photographers, Mattias Matos from Austria and Jürger Frank from Germany. In July 2012, Melanie appeared in Imagen magazine and Chic South magazine covers. Furthermore, in Summer 2013 she appears in Burger Kings “Verano 2013” Commercial.

          As a runway model, she has walked the catwalks for designers such as Harry Robles, Luis Antonio, Gustavo Arango, Lisa Thon, Ruben Dario, Stella Nolasco, David Antonio, Lisa Cappalli, Michelle Correa, Ashley Cervante, Sonia Santiago, Pipo Pere, Ecliptica, Veronika Pagán, Miriam Budet, Sonia Rivera, Keyla Hernandez, Eddie Guerrero, Jaer Cabán, Of Atelier, Heriberto Vázquez, Marcos Carrazana, among others. Melanie has appeared in Wild Pair, Bakers, “Valija Gitana”, and Gatsby's store campaigns and the “Antiguo Casino” bridal campaign. Not to mention, Melanie has appeared in magazine and newspapers’ editorials, such as Imagen, Caras, Buena Vida, LIVE Magazine, Chic South, Infashion, Vocero, PR Daily Sun and El Nuevo Día.

            In May 2015, Melanie signs contract with Spanish modeling agency Wannabe Agency.

            At the present time, she is a Marketing student in the University of Puerto Rico Rio Piedras Campus and is studying abroad in Complutense University of Madrid.
